History of Jasmine

Jasmine is a delicate climbing shrub with dark green foliage and white star-like flowers. Its name is derived from the Arabic word “yasmin,” meaning “fragrant flower.” It is native to Asia; the first jasmine plant known was called Arabian Jasmine, or Jasminum sambac. Considered fragrance royalty, jasmine is often described as clean, exotic, floral, and heady.
