Description

Copaiba balsam is a tall tree that is native to South America. Although copaiba produces both flowers and fruit, its essential oil is taken from its yellow resin, which appears in copious amounts when the tree’s trunk is punctured. With its inviting and vaguely vanilla-like fragrance, copaiba oil can be found in various perfumes and soaps.

History of Copaiba Balsam

Using Copaiba Balsam Essential Oil

Worked into soothing jojoba carrier oil, skin-enhancing copaiba balsam helps moisturize your body while the other tree-derived botanicals help to cleanse and balance skin.

1 ounce Jojoba Carrier Oil
6 drops Copaiba Balsam Essential Oil
3 drops Frankincense Essential Oil
3 drops Cedarwood Essential Oil

Aromatherapy Uses

Bath & Shower

Add 5-10 drops to hot bath water, or sprinkle into shower steam before getting in for an at-home spa experience.

Massage

8-10 drops of essential oil per 1 ounce of carrier oil. Apply a small amount directly to areas of concern, such as muscles, skin or joints. Work the oil gently into the skin until it is fully absorbed.

Inhalation

Inhale the aromatic vapors directly from the bottle, or place a few drops in a burner or diffuser to fill a room with its scent.
